Um....Marathong??
Hey! I had the best opportunity to go and cheer Jeanne on during her CHICAGO MARATHON!! (thanks mom!) The only problem? I didn't take any pics! Trent and Jeanne did! (seriously, she carried a camera with her on the run!) So no matter how much i talk about it or try to describe it, it's just not the same without seeing them pics... and I know that Trent posted on facebook, but there are people who don't have a facebook account (gasp!) so they haven't seen them... Can we post here??? Please!?!?!? Wouldn't we all love to see them??? I mean, A MARATHON!!!!

Mindy

Almost time for the marathon!
It's pretty crazy. If you had told me back in 1999 that I'd be running a marathon in 2009, I would not have believed you. But here I am, training for it. The most I've run has been 22. INSANE!
I'll be completing the 26.2 miles (hopefully!) on October 11, less than two weeks away! I'll be running a slow and steady pace (12 min/miles) (and, really, I'll be walking too - we run 5 min, walk 1 min and so on...). I'm running with a mentoring program. It's pretty neat to run this with at-risk high school students. The program is run through the MGR Foundation.
I made a footprint!
you can too! http://footprint.chicagomarathon.com/ A few hours after you make it, it's available on the site, then you can upload it here too, if you'd like. You can select different charities that Bank of America will donate to when you make your footprint (I suggest the MGR Foundation).
This is me and my friend Shannon after our half-marathon in August.

Tony's 60!
This is Betty!! Or was it Bessie? Or Charlotte? Babe? I don't know either way she was TAS-TEE! It took her roughly 5 hours too cook.
There were also the twins. Two rump roasts that we cooked on the grill while Betty roasted on the spit. They were just as tasty.
Even Joey and Penny J wanted to grill. They were sharing very well.
WHOA!!!
We even had games! There was dress up
And sidewalk chalk
Bocce Ball
And the greatest game of all...FLIP CUP!
It was such a great party! I can't wait for the next one! Wait a second...That would be Kelly's wedding!! SWEET!

Hi everyone! I'm just letting you know that I am not just Amy Scolaro anymore. I am now Amy Scolaro: College Student! Yeppers, I enrolled in college! I am going to Stautzenberger College in Brecksville to become a Vet Tech (an RN for animals). I start on October 5th and I am going to go full time...which is not that bad considering full time is 3 days a week! SWEEET! I'm so excited and I cannot wait to go!
P.S.- Did I mention that I get a laptop included in my tuition???

Amy's New Project!
Monday and Tuesday this week, I painted my bedroom. It went from a dull, boring, beige color to...
Boonieville!
Ok...so I know I'm about a month late with this but Adam and I went to NC to visit his grandmother. We went to the city of Boone which is literally on the outside of a mountain. Trees are EVERYWHERE! Here are just some of the highlights:
This is a tunnel we went through that was in between west virginia to virginia.

No joke, as soon as we pulled in the driveway, Adam saw the ATV's and jumped on one. Yep, Amy learned how to drive one too. A little scary, I know.
Adam's Uncle Jimmy took us to a memorial site for the veterans of Watauga County. It's Grampa!!!!!
Look at that dimply face!!!

We had so much fun! I can't wait to go back!
